When adding Google Adsense Ads a blank yellow box appears

1

So you decide to make some money out of your site by applying for Google Adsense to display adverts on your website, your application is approved and you add the code to your site.

To your surprise when you add the code to your site and check your ad is displaying all your get is a pale yellow box?

The reason for this is because Google have changed some of the Adsense terms and conditions and part of this is that you must have a privacy policy on your website and a link to it on every page that is displaying your adverts.

AdSense publishers must have and abide by a privacy policy that discloses that third parties may be placing and reading cookies on your users’ browsers, or using web beacons to collect information as a result of ad serving on your website. ~~ [Excerpt from¬†Google AdSense Program Policies]”

At this point if you wish to continue to make us of Google Adsense on your website you must add a privacy policy to your site (a good website to autogenerate a privacy policy is here: http://www.serprank.com/privacy-policy-generator/) and add simply link onto every page (we suggest at the bottom along your copyright notices) like the following:

<a href=”[Your Privacy Policy HTML link]”>Privacy Policy</a>

You should find after a couple of days after you have done this and Google have re-checked your site your adverts should display!

Failure to add a privacy policy may lead to rejection of your Google AdSense account application or to the disruption of your current Google AdSense account.
